MORDEN S. SHAPIRO, B. Com., FCA, CMC

Morden S. Shapiro has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto (B.Com.), is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (FCA) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

He has written extensively: as the Practice Management Editor and a regular columnist in The Bottom Line  (The Mort Exchange), in the Practice Corner in the CMC Communicator, as a contributor to CA Magazine, the CMA Journal; the CGA Magazine and the Law Practice Management publication of Richard De Boo.

He has authored and delivered many Professional Development courses for all of the Provincial Institutes of Chartered Accountants in Canada and Bermuda and the Quebec Ordre, he has written for the AICPA Management of an Accounting Practice Handbook as well as speaking in the United States on Practice Management topics. He has lectured for the Certified General Accountants' Associations of Canada, Alberta, British Columbia and New Brunswick. A popular speaker for many years at conferences, international firm meetings and other professional gatherings, Morden has taught at Ryerson University, the University of Toronto, York University and for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Morden authored Mergers of Professional Practices: Managing the Process, a publication of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

He is president of Toronto based Morden S. Shapiro & Associates Inc. and is actively engaged in a variety of roles as a consultant. His consulting activities include serving as an Arbitrator or Mediator, providing litigation support, doing organizational development consulting and acting as an expert witness in the area of professional negligence of public accountants.
